Nancy A. Hughes passed away on February 15, 2012. She was born in San Mateo, CA to Richard S. and Marilynn L. (Sanders) Norris on April 22, 1957. Nancy was raised in Tucson and attended Tanque Verde Elementary School and Sabino High School. She also attended Northern Arizona University and was an active member of Gamma Phi Beta Sorority. Nancy resided in Sierra Vista, AZ for the past 29 years. She was extremely active in the Sierra Vista community and was the owner of The Mesquite Tree Restaurant. Nancy is survived by her children, Tiffany Katherine Hughes and Daniel Scott Hughes of Hereford; mother, Marilynn Lee Norris of Hereford; brother, Wes (Holly) Norris of Huntsville, AL; sister, Kalee (John) of Hereford, AZ and many loving nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Patrick Hughes and her father, Richard Scott Norris. Private family Memorial Services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in Nancy's memory to Casa de la Paz Hospice, 185 S. Moorman Ave., Sierra Vista, AZ 85635. Arrangements by JENSEN'S SIERRA VISTA MORTUARY.
Nancy was so kind. She will be sorely missed. She was treated badly by a so called teacher once and I thought it SO unfair. I always liked her though she didn't know me very well. RIP Nancy....
